After spending the summer unable to create, I felt a great thirst for color. I also had a drawing on my design wall that had sat for several years, and friends were beginning to annoy me about making something from it. I started off as a doodle drawing and was pure fun to make. I broke as many rules as I could think of. It has paper piecing, fusing, machine applique, and free motion quilting. I spent a lot of time with a color wheel and tried to make the tree sing.
